The first three minutes of a live performance of 2018 collaborative project with Flinders Quartet, Iain Grandage (composer), Chris Moore (narrator/viola) and Richard Piper (director).

This project epitomises Flinders Quartet’s commitment to innovative programming, industry development and collaboration. Entitled "Puck's Dream (after Midsummer)”, FQ commissioned Grandage to create this innovative work based on music from Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" overture and text from the same play; engaged Chris Moore to perform viola and an acting role (expanding his skillset); and engaged Richard Piper to direct the dramatic elements of the performance (which concurrently provided an invaluable artistic development opportunity for FQ and Chris).

Filmed at Hawthorn Arts Centre, 26 July 2018.

A segment of the first movement of Brahms’ second viola quintet, performed by Flinders Quartet with Chris Moore (viola). This video demonstrates Flinders Quartet's ongoing commitment to continued heightened performance standards and collaboration.

Filmed at Hawthorn Arts Centre, 26 July 2018.

"Out of Hibernation" by Matthew Laing (segment), premiered by Flinders Quartet in 2019, demonstrates Flinders Quartet's commitment to industry development, and the support of emerging Australian composers. FQ has propelled Matthew Laing's compositional career, commencing with his participation in FQ's 2017 Composer Development Program, to commissioning him to write this work for premiere in FQ's 2019 subscription season. As a composer with complex musical ideas, it is very difficult to find performers dedicated to articulating their musical vision; Flinders Quartet shows continued commitment in this regard.

Filmed in the Primrose Potter Salon, Melbourne Recital Centre on 28 February 2019.
